Veil Cosmetics recently debuted a line of multi-tasking, treatment cosmetics by makeup artist Sébastien Tardif. Veil Cosmetics was inspired by Tardif’s foundation in both art and fashion, which lead to the palette of bright-based colors that immediately lift and illuminate the skin. Veil Cosmetics is based on Lightfast Technology, a proprietary blend of active ingredients (Sepiwhite MSH, Sepicalm VGWP and Revidrate) that is designed to target the production of melanin, leaving skin more even, radiant, soothed, and hydrated. In clinical testing, Sepiwhite MSH was shown to increase luminosity in subjects with dark spots 95 percent of the time, and use of Sepicalm VGWP led to a decrease in melanin production in 88 percent of subjects with dark spots after eight weeks, according to the company. The line launches with Illuminating Complexion Fix, a concealer-treatment hybrid for face and eyes. Available in 12 shades, the buildable coverage is water- and drift-resistant. This innovative new line will expand in 2013 to include a serum and an eye shadow collection.
